I now have a Wacom tablet!!! It is still weird getting used to it, hopefully this can fuel a new avenue of illustration in my work.
Education
Recently I heard that the Department of Education is no longer having cursive writing in the teaching curriculum. It is however being replaced by typing as a full course. This, to me, is somewhat disturbing in the sense of everything being converted to digital format. I understand that we are constantly pushing forward in innovation, I just can not shake that this is somewhat reminding me of WALL-E. Letting technology control everything is fine, but what happens if technology fails someday. What will our children’s children do? Is this a step toward becoming too technology dependent? Will the push for typing increase the amount of text lingo within schools?

Interning
I interned for a day at Sonar Studios in Indianapolis, IN and it was very overwhelming. Which by the way if you haven’t heard of Sonar Studios you should check them. They have an amazing company that does a wealth of different things. I learned a lot about the complexity of a company that deals with such high brow clients and how hard it is to keep things on the right track. I am just waiting on the owner to let me know when I can come back again. Step one is done to breaking my shy and scared mold of a college graduate and I am trying desperately to become a confident adult.
